The great fin dinosaur, commonly known as the bigheaded fish, is a large carp that lives in the lower reaches of the Heihe River. It feeds on wild fish and its meat is delicious. It has not yet been found in other domestic waters. According to statistics, the maximum weight of the big fin drumsticks can reach 0.4 kilograms, and at the end of the 1980s they could still produce large-scale production. Due to the continuous cessation of flow in the upper reaches of the river, in 1992, the great fin drumstick disappeared with the drying of Juyanhai in Ejinaqi.

In 2002, the Juyan seawater area was restored, and in recent years it has been fully replenished. The largest area of ​​the water area has reached 38.6 square kilometers, and the Dafin drumsticks have returned to Juyanhai. Due to the continuous drying up of 10 years, although the Juyan seawater area was restored, the population of the great fin plover drastically decreased.

In order to further understand and study the biological reproduction characteristics of the great fin plover and increase its population size, the Alxa League Aquatic Station and the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Aquatic Station jointly established in 2006 the research group on the biology and reproductive characteristics of the frog. After two years of preliminary work, an artificial incubation experiment was conducted in Juyanhai in early May of this year. On May 11th, artificial spawning and spawning were carried out. The first batch of fry was produced on May 13, and the artificial incubation experiment was successful.
