The Tungsten and Cemented Carbide Alliance was established in November 2007 and currently has 19 members, covering leading companies, universities and research institutes in the tungsten and hard alloy industries. Since its inception, the Alliance has been leading and promoting the innovation and development of China's tungsten and cemented carbide industry. It has carried out a series of major innovation activities and achieved breakthroughs in common industry and key technologies. A total of 274 patent applications were filed, 137 patents were granted, 34 standards were formulated, and 12 provincial and ministerial awards were awarded. The newly added output value was 1.78 billion yuan and the new profits and taxes were 200 million yuan. China's tungsten and hard alloy industries have taken a new step in the efficient use of resources, high-end products, and precision, which has greatly shortened the gap with the world's leading level.
