According to the statistics released by the General Administration of Customs on February 14, the import of steel in January was 1.64 million tons, an increase of 290,000 tons, an increase of 21.6%, an increase of 230,000 tons; the export of steel 3.12 million tons, an increase of 240,000 tons, an increase 8.2%, an increase of 270,000 tons.   In this regard, the analysis report of “Steel House” predicts that as the international steel market price continues to rise sharply, the price difference between domestic and foreign steel markets will gradually shrink, and the attractiveness of the export market will gradually increase. In the context of the continuous rise in the international steel market prices, China's steel export prices have also risen sharply. It is expected that China's steel exports will continue to rise in the later period. According to the "First Financial Daily" reporter, compared with the beginning of the year, after the Spring Festival, the import price of hot-rolled coils in the international steel market has risen by about US$100/ton (FOB), which has far exceeded the increase in the domestic steel market. At the beginning of February, Japan's hot rolled coil export price was US$770/tonne (FOB), up by US$130/ton from the end of last year; the Indian market's hot rolled coil price was US$870/ton, up by US$110/ton from the end of last year; The export price of the CIS hot rolled coil is US$715/ton, up by US$80/ton from the end of last year. With the increase in the international steel market price, China's steel export quotation has also increased substantially, and the export orders have also improved significantly. In January, a steel mill in northern China received a large number of export orders for hot rolled coils at a price of US$700-720/tonne (FOB). However, many industry insiders pointed out to reporters that China's steel exports this year will continue to be affected by foreign "double-reverse" investigations. In recent days, Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus have announced anti-dumping investigations on color-coated plates originating in China, which is also a high-end product in China's export of steel. In 2010, China exported 509,000 tons of color-coated plates to Russia, with a total value of 470 million US dollars; exported 423 tons to Belarus with a total value of 399,000 US dollars; and exported 24,000 tons to Kazakhstan with a total value of 28.35 million US dollars.
