Vietnam shoe orders increased by more than 15% year-on-year

According to the latest statistics released by the Vietnam Footwear Association, this year, the number of Vietnamese footwear manufacturers’ orders has increased by more than 15% year-on-year, and total footwear exports have reached US$2.75 billion.

The Vietnam Footwear Association stated that most of the domestic footwear enterprises in Vietnam have seen significant orders growth this year due to the lack of labor in some Chinese shoe-making enterprises and the lowering of orders due to higher costs, some of which were transferred to Vietnam. At present, the proportion of processing trade in the footwear industry in Vietnam is as high as 70%.

From the perspective of Vietnamese footwear export destinations in the first 7 months of this year, the United States is the largest export market, with exports to the U.S. market at approximately US$700 million, accounting for 25% of the total exports of the entire industry.
