Skillful use of fertilizer crops

The use of chemical fertilizers to control crop pests and diseases can not only prevent the phytotoxicity caused by improper use of pesticides, but also effectively promote the growth of crops. It is a safe, economical and effective method. Now we introduce the insecticidal methods of several common chemical fertilizers.

Ammonium bicarbonate, commonly known as gas fertilizer, has a strong insecticidal effect. When planting sweet potatoes, potatoes and other crops, 15-25 kg of ammonium bicarbonate per mu is mixed with farmyard manure and applied to the soil, which can reduce the damage of alfalfa by about 80%. When planting vegetables, 25 kg of ammonium bicarbonate per acre can greatly reduce the harm of underground pests such as root lice and small tigers.

Ammonia is an alkaline fertilizer that both kills insects and sterilizes. When cotton has verticillium wilt and blight, 40 kg of ammonia water per acre can be used to greatly reduce the disease. When using cucumber as a base fertilizer, it can control cucumber blight. When planting cabbage, 35 kg of ammonia water diluted 50 times per mu can prevent cabbage virus disease.

Phosphate fertilizer can kill insects and sterilize. Spraying cotton plants with 2% calcium perphosphate leaching solution can drive away the cotton bollworms that lay eggs and kill pests such as cotton red spiders and cockroaches. Spraying tomato with 1% calcium perphosphate leaching solution also has a significant effect on preventing tomato umbilical rot.
