Companies should conduct a general survey of all chemicals (including products, raw materials and intermediates) that may be in contact with and produce, and establish chemical files. The basic content includes:

(2) Place of storage, production and use;

(4) Classification of danger, dangerous code number, packing type, registration number;

(5) Safety technical specifications and safety labels (listing physical and chemical, blasting data and hazards for non-dangerous goods).

2 Chemical classification

The company shall classify its products and all intermediate products according to the Classification and Marking of Commonly Used Hazardous Chemicals (GB13690) and import the classification results into the chemical files.

3 Chemical Safety Data Sheet and Safety Label

When the products produced by the enterprise are hazardous chemicals, the safety technical specifications and safety labels shall be prepared in accordance with the provisions of the “Synthesis of Chemical Safety Data Sheets” (GB 16483) and the “Regulations for the Preparation of Chemical Safety Labels” (GB 15258).

Safety technical specifications and safety labels should be obtained when purchasing hazardous chemicals, and hazardous chemicals without safety data sheets and safety labels must not be purchased.

4 chemical accident emergency consultation service telephone

The company shall set up a 24-hour emergency consultation service fixed telephone and have professional staff on duty. If there is no condition to set up a telephone, the professional emergency agency for hazardous chemicals shall be entrusted as an emergency agent.

5 Registration of dangerous chemicals

Enterprises shall register in accordance with the requirements of the “Administrative Measures for the Registration of Hazardous Chemicals”.

6 Hazard notification

Enterprises should publicize the employees and related parties in an appropriate and effective way to understand the characteristics of hazardous chemicals and preventive and emergency treatment measures in the production process, and reduce or eliminate the harmful consequences.
