This is a modern and traditional welding process comparison test demonstrated by researchers at Lanzhou University of Technology on October 12. It is reported that the active welding material with independent intellectual property rights developed by the research team led by Professor Fan Ding of the school has been appraised by experts of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and domestic welding authority expert Pan Jiwei and other experts. The overall level reached the international advanced level and filled the domestic gap. This scientific and technological achievement has declared 3 invention patents, and now there are 2 invention patent certificates issued by the State Intellectual Property Office. Its applications include the manufacturing of ships, aerospace, chemical industry, pressure vessels, and marine engineering. The trials of the manufacturing units in the Eastern Boiler Plant have achieved good results.

According to the research team's teacher Huang Yong, compared with the traditional welding method, the newly developed active material is used for welding. It is not necessary to open the groove, and the welding is completed once, the production efficiency is improved by 7 times and the energy saving is 80%. Moreover, the active agent is non-toxic, non-polluting and meets environmental protection requirements. Another member of the research team, Dr. Zhang Ruihua, who has just returned from Japan, told reporters that the active agent was better than their own in Japan after they tested. They want to buy this kind of welding-specific active material from Lanzhou University of Technology. .
